Forgue War Memorial |
1914-1919
Following the morning service the memorial, of Aberdeen granite, was unveiled on Sunday 15th February 1920, by the parish minister Rev. C. W. Stobie. Rev. J. Esslemont Adams, Aberdeen ( wartime chaplain to the 6th Gordons ) was to have dedicated and unveiled it, but was unable to attend. The memorial was supplied by P.H. Gordon, Bogie Street Stoneyard, Huntly.
